Amanda Landry, DVM, DACVIM, Neurology

Dr. Amanda Landry completed a bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut in 2013 and attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2017. Dr. Landry spent three years on the island of St. Kitts. She completed a one clinical year in London, England at the Royal Veterinary College. After graduation, she completed a one-year internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at Angell Animal Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts in 2018.

Dr. Landry moved to Maitland, Florida to complete a one-year specialty internship in medical neurology and neurosurgery at Affiliated Veterinary Specialists. The facility is now called Blue Pearl Specialty and Emergency Hospital. She stayed there an additional three years to complete a residency in Small Animal Neurology, which she completed in July 2022. Dr. Landry is board-certified in Small Animal Neurology. She started at Portland Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Care in August 2022.

Dr. Landry enjoys all aspects of neurology, with a special interest in managing meningitis, seizures, and intervertebral disc disease.

Dr. Landry is excited to have moved to Maine, where many of her family currently live. She spent many summers as a child on the beautiful Maine southern coast. Now she looks forwards to the many outdoor activities Maine has to offer. She has traveled through her training with her rescue dog (Bruce Wayne) and cat (Robin). She adopted both during her time as a first-year veterinary student on St. Kitts.
