OUR MISSION

At PVESC, we are dedicated to providing the highest standard of medical, surgical, and critical care for our patients. We aim to offer exceptional service to our clients, with a focus on compassionate, honest, and patient-centered care. Through open and transparent communication, we build trusting relationships with pet owners, ensuring that they are informed and confident in the care we provide.

We are also committed to fostering a positive and supportive work environment for our team, encouraging collaboration and professional growth so that we can continue to deliver the best possible care for every pet we treat.

Portland Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Care is a multi-specialty veterinary center. We have been serving Maine for more than thirty years. We provide compassionate, expert specialty and emergency care for your pet, and peace of mind for you.

EMERGENCY SERVICES: Emergency services are available at our Warren Avenue campus 24/7/365. Staffed with Critical Care Specialists, experienced emergency veterinarians, veterinary technician specialists, licensed veterinary technicians, and veterinary assistants, you can count on PVESC to care for your pet when your regular day clinic isn’t open or if critical care is needed. Be advised that care is prioritized based on triage determination.

SPECIALTY SERVICES: Our board-certified veterinary specialists receive referrals from veterinary hospitals and work in partnership with your family veterinarian for the benefit of your pet. PVESC provides advanced diagnostics, sophisticated techniques, and the treatment of complex diseases and injuries, working together to provide diagnoses and effective therapies for the most challenging conditions.

When your family veterinarian refers you to Portland Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Care, it is because they know we will work hand-in-hand with them to ensure the best help for your pet. Your veterinarian will provide us with supportive documentation of your pet’s condition for the initial consultation. We will continue to work with you and your pet throughout the duration of the illness for which you sought our attention.
