Robert T. O’Brien, DVM, DACVR, Radiology and Imaging

Dr. Robert T. O’Brien graduated from Fryeburg Academy and UMO. He obtained his DVM from The Ohio State University and his residency in radiology from the University of Pennsylvania. He was a major in the US Army and a veteran of the Gulf War. Dr. O’Brien was on faculty at the universities of Wisconsin, Kansas State, and Illinois throughout an active academic career. He has over 100 peer-reviewed published manuscripts. Dr. O’Brien is an international expert in contrast ultrasound and advanced CT imaging. He founded the International Veterinary Ultrasound Society. He was on the examination committee of the ACVR for 5 years. Dr. O’Brien is currently happy to have returned to Maine and is enjoying the northern New England lifestyle running trails and climbing mountains.
