John MacGregor, DVM, DACVIM, Cardiology

John MacGregor received his DVM from Cornell University in 1998. He completed an Emergency and Critical Care internship at Tufts University in 1999. After 2 years in private practice, he returned to Tufts University and completed a Cardiology residency in 2003.  He is Board-Certified by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM) as a Veterinary Cardiologist. Dr. MacGregor has authored many research manuscripts and several book chapters and has reviewed articles for three national journals. Lastly, He has served on multiple ACVIM committees and the ACVIM Board of Regents as well as the NHSPCA Board of Directors and the NH State Board of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. MacGregor utilizes state-of-the-art diagnostic testing to determine the cause of cardiac abnormalities. Subsequently, He is able to either treat the conditions he diagnoses or obtain a referral to those who are better suited to treat those conditions.

Dr. MacGregor has a spouse with three children and lives in Seacoast, New Hampshire. He has spent part of every year of his life in Maine at a family house in the Turner area. He currently has four dogs with a variety of cardiac abnormalities and three cats who seem to be avoiding cardiac disease.
