Carey, Veterinary Assistant

Carey was born and raised in Connecticut. She grew up spending her summers in Maine and finally made the jump to move to this great state 8 years ago. She graduated from Western Connecticut State University in 2011 with a Bachelors in Nursing, and worked as an RN in emergency medicine for 10 years.

Carey jumped ship a year ago to pursue her passion of working with animals and has never looked back. She is enrolled in Penn Foster’s Veterinary technician program and will be starting classes this fall. In her free time, she enjoys trail running, yoga, and exploring this beautiful state with her husband, and two daughters.

Carey shares her home with her two dogs Bella and Willow, cat Theo, two rabbits Thumper and Tilly, and a mixed flock of ducks and chickens.
