Anna E. Dunlap, DVM, DACVS-SA
Dr. Anna Dunlap is a board certified veterinary surgeon. A native of Farmington, Maine, Dr. Dunlap obtained her bachelor’s degree from St. Lawrence University in upstate New York and received her doctorate of veterinary medicine from Kansas State University. Following graduation from veterinary school, Dr. Dunlap completed a rotating medicine and surgery internship at VCA San Francisco Veterinary Specialists, followed by a one year surgery internship at the Dallas Veterinary Surgical Center, and a one year orthopedic research fellowship at the University of Florida. Dr. Dunlap then completed a three-year surgery residency at North Carolina State University. She joined the American College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2019, and finally is returning to Maine after spending two years as a staff surgeon at a private practice in northern Virginia.
Dr. Dunlap is enthusiastic about all aspects of veterinary surgery, but has a special interest in intrathoracic surgery, wound management, fracture repair, and interventional surgical procedures. She is published in numerous veterinary journals, and is committed to continuing education and advancing her knowledge of innovative surgical procedures.
In her free time, Anna enjoys spending time outdoors with her coconut retriever, Rona, and her dachshund, Lemon. She is very excited to be back in her home state of Maine and looking forward to enjoying winter again.
