Portland Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Care (PVESC) of Portland, ME is looking for a full-time, experienced licensed veterinary technician to join our growing surgery department. Our surgical technicians are responsible for all aspects of surgical nursing, performing diagnostics, administering and monitoring anesthesia, maintaining treatments, admitting and discharging patients, surgical assisting, post-op care and recovery, and client customer service. Experience in anesthesia and surgery is preferred. We focus on high-quality, supportive, and personalized care for our clients and their pets. You will be able to utilize your skills to the fullest.
Our busy surgery department has three board-certified surgeons, specializing in soft tissue, orthopedic, laparoscopic, and neurosurgery. We are a state-of-the-art facility with a 4 slice CT machine, digital radiology, two surgical suites, in-house laboratory suite, Pulse-Vet shockwave therapy, laser therapy, as well as advanced monitoring equipment.
Our new team member should possess exceptional written and oral communication skills and attention to detail.
