Portland Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Care is seeking two Emergency Client Coordinators to join our client and patient-focused multidisciplinary emergency and specialty practice. This is a newly developed position. PVESC is one of the largest, privately owned 24/7 hospitals in the northeast and includes the specialties of surgery (5), internal medicine (4), critical care (2), oncology (2), ophthalmology, cardiology, dermatology, anesthesiology, neurology, radiology, and radioactive iodine therapy. PVESC has grown exponentially and has earned a reputation of integrity, collaboration, and excellence in veterinary health care delivery.
The Emergency Client Coordinator is a liaison position in our busy emergency department, helping the criticalists, emergency clinicians, technicians, client service representatives and clients in many integral ways, such as support with triage, handling the majority of client communication, and discharging patients. The perfect candidate will have great organization skills, love computers, and be able to communicate kindly, compassionately and effectively with clients, referring veterinary hospitals, and staff. Previous experience in a veterinary hospital is required, technician knowledge is preferred, and strong customer service skills are important. This position is perfect for the experienced veterinary technician or assistant who is considering a change of pace. Generous sign on bonus commensurate with experience.
